# Edit a video

Checksub also lets you edit a video. For example, you can extract a moment from your video and then subtitle or dub it.

Here's how:

### Create a new "empty" project

### Select Subtitles and Dubbing Project

### Add your video to the project

When you open the page you will have a pop-up to upload a new video. If you have your video on your computer you can upload your video here.

If you already uploaded your video to Checksub you can close this pop-up and find a video previously uploaded by clicking on "Open your elements" icon.

### You can cut or trim your project

Select the Split element.

Place the cursor on the timeline to cut the clip.

Once you click on the timeline and cut the clip yu can click again on "Split my element" to desactivate the tool.

Then once you have desactivate the Split tool you can click on the timeline to select a clip.

Then you click on **remove** on your keyboard.

### You can also trim your video.

This is a tutorial where I explain how to trim a video in Checksub: <https://support.checksub.com/get-started/video-editing/trim-or-split-a-video>

### Now you can add subtitles or dubbing to your project

Click on the icon "Create subtitles" at the top middle of the page.

Then you will see the page to generate the subtitles or a dubbing.

I hope this tutorial has helped you with your project. 😉
